Inkind Donations

American Friends of UNRWA understands that donors are moved to help Palestinian refugees by the images and stories they see and hear.  Some of you may seek to help through in-kind donations, but we urge that, before gathering items or making plans for an in-kind donation, you contact us first at (202) 223-3767 to discuss specific needs.

Also, please keep in mind the many conditions that apply to such donations.  Donations of goods in small quantities must be cleaned, sorted, stored and transported overseas – which requires considerable time, money and staffing resources.  Furthermore, there is no guarantee that the governments concerned will allow these commodities into the country or into the areas where refugees live without proper coordination.  The best way to help may therefore be through a cash donation.
