UNRWA condemns attack on Gaza World Record facility

UNRWA condemns the attacks on the Summer Games facility in North Gaza. At 12:00am on Thursday, July 28, 2011 attackers vandalized a Summer Games stage and burnt a UN flag, no injuries were reported. UNRWA spokeman Chris Gunness calls the attacks “an attack on the children of Gaza as much as on the United Nations.”

The attack will not affect the day’s scheduled world record event for the most kites flown simultaneously.
