About Us

Our Mission

American Friends of UNRWA (AFU) was established in 2005 and is an independent 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that provides support for the humanitarian work of UNRWA through advocacy, fundraising, and education. AFU aims to educate the general American public about the situation of Palestine refugees and generate support for UNRWA's education, health and social services programs in Gaza, the West Bank, Syria, Lebanon, and Jordan.
